Dressing
Celery, onion, and raisins add nutrient-density and make this recipe more HEAL-icious!
Serves 6-8
- 6 Tbsp butterÂ
- 2 ribs celery, finely chopped
- 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
- ½ cup raisins (optional) **soak one to two hours in hot water until they plump up, then drain water**Â
- 2 cups water
- 12 to 14 ounces store-bought stuffing mix, such as Stove Top (the exact amount will vary by brand)
- aluminum foil
Instructions:
- Melt the butter in a 6-quart saucepan over medium heat. Add the celery and onion and cook for 5 minutes or until tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.
- Add the water to the saucepan and heat to a boil. Stir in raisins.
- Â Add the stuffing, stir until moist, and remove from the heat. Place a cover on the pot and let sit for 5 minutes.Â
- Fluff the stuffing mixture and spoon into a large baking dish. Cover the baking dish to keep it from drying out.
