World renowned chef and owner of Alabama’s finest restaurants shares his time, talent, and treasure to support the HEAL.
Long-time HEAL supporter Frank Stitt is best known as owner and executive chef of Highlands Bar and Grill, Bottega Restaurant, and Chez Fon Fon in Birmingham, Alabama. He was awarded “Best Chef in the Southeast” in 2001 by the James Beard Foundation, was a 2008 finalist for their national “Outstanding Chef” award, and was inducted into the Foundation’s “Who’s Who of Food and Beverage” in 2011.
For nearly a decade he has also shared his time, talent and treasure with HEAL, including starring in HEAL videos for Alabama Public Television where he provides recipes, as well as tips on saving time and money. Frank’s expertise and love of food encourage viewers of all ages to try their hand at cooking. His appreciation for simple, fresh, and locally sourced ingredients reminds us all that healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated.
