Cream of Wheat Sweet Breakfast

Cream of Wheat is a blank slate for both sweet and savory flavors. It’s affordable, easy to make, high in
iron, and has several B vitamins.

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

• 1 cup water or milk
• 1 1/2 – 2 Tbsps. of uncooked cream of wheat
• 1 Tbsps. of honey or maple syrup
• 1/8 tsp of cinnamon
• 1/2 cup sliced fruit

Directions for the microwave

  1. Stir the cream of wheat and milk or water together in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave for 1 minute.
  3. Stir and microwave again for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  4. Use a hot pad to take the bowl out of the microwave. Mix in the sweetener and fruit and allow to cool for 1-2 minutes. Enjoy!
