Jonathan Allen
Jonathan Allen is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Jasper City Schools. With over 20 years of experience in public k-12 education, Jonathan is responsible for secondary curriculum, transportation, and serving as the system safety officer. Jonathan spent his first ten years of education serving in Jefferson County Schools at Minor High School. He later served as both an elementary school principal and a high school principal in Jasper City Schools.
Jonathan is a native of Jasper and graduated from Walker High School in 1999 before attending his first two years of college at Bevill State Community College. Jonathan received a B.S. from Birmingham-Southern College, a M.A. Ed. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and in 2013, a M.S. Ed. from Samford University. In 2022, he began pursuing an education specialist degree from the University of Alabama.
Jonathan lives with his wife, Megan and son, Jon Thomas. As a principal and as a parent, he has seen first-hand the influence of the HEAL curriculum on elementary students and the ways healthy eating and active living can positively affect the health of students.
