Overnight Oats
This easy overnight oat recipe is a healthy, simple breakfast that you can make ahead for busy mornings and customize with many add-ins and toppings. Overnight oats are high in protein and fiber, which will keep you full throughout the morning, and they’re perfect for taking on the go.
INGREDIENTS
½ cup old fashioned oats
½ cup milk whichever type you prefer
1 Tbsp maple syrup or honey
¼ tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup unsweetened Greek yogurt
Add ins: fresh fruit, nuts, nut butters etc.
Served chilled, straight from the refrigerator.
DIRECTIONS
Combine oats, milk, maple syrup and vanilla, and yogurt in a mason jar or bowl. Seal with lid and shake to mix or stir if using a bowl.
Refrigerate at least 6 hours and up to 4 days. Stir and add toppings right before serving.
Served chilled, straight from the refrigerator.
*Cook’s Note: The mixture will keep for up to 2 days. If you don’t add banana, up to 4 days. However, once you are experienced, you’ll have no problem whipping up another batch midweek, if needed.
